Leadership Elections

New Leaders Elected in Assembly
Today Assembly Republicans elected Rep. Bill Kramer (R-Waukesha) as Majority Leader.  Kramer, who previously served as the Assembly Speaker Pro Tempore, succeeds former Majority Leader Rep. Scott Suder, who recently left the Legislature to accept a position with the Public Service Commission.  Rep. Tyler August (R-Lake Geneva) was elected as Speaker Pro Tempore.

Governor Calls for Special Election
Governor Walker has announced that a special election for the 69th Assembly District will be held on Nov. 19. A primary election, if needed, would be held on Oct. 22.  See Governor's announcement.
