Hearing on the Wisconsin C.O.R.E. Jobs Act
On December 10, the Senate Committee on Economic Development and the Assembly Committee on Jobs, the Economy, and Small Business will hold a joint public hearing on SB 409, the Wisconsin C.O.R.E Jobs Act. (C.O.R.E. stands for Connecting Opportunity, Research, and Entrepreneurship.) This bill incorporates some recommendations from the UW System Research to Jobs Report and is consistent with proposals advanced by the Wisconsin Technology Council.

Senate Confirmation Hearing for Regent Vásquez
On December 10, the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Higher Education will hold a confirmation hearing for Regent José Vásquez. This hearing will correspond with the Board of Regents meeting scheduled for December 10-11. For more information, please see the hearing notice.
