Additional Legislative Retirements

On April 14, Rep. Chuck Benedict (D-Beloit) announced he will not seek re-election to a fourth term in the Assembly.  For more information, see his press release.  Additionally, Rep. Mark Gundrum (R-New Berlin) was elected on April 6 to the Waukesha County Circuit Court.  He will likely continue serving in the Assembly until he takes office on August 1, 2010.  Rep. Kitty Rhoades (R-Hudson) announced March 17 that she will retire from the assembly after 12 years of service.  For more information, see her press release.

Altogether, twelve members of the Assembly and three members of the Senate are not seeking re-election in the fall.  For more information on previous retirement announcements, see our earlier post.
