UW Task Force Meeting

The Special Task Force on UW Restructuring and Operational Flexibilities met on February 8 to discuss the issues of governing boards and tuition authority. UW-Madison Chancellor David Ward and UW-Milwaukee Chancellor Michael Lovell presented an "advisory board" model for UW System where institution-specific boards would support the Board of Regents, allowing for more localized input. The Task Force also discussed the relationship between declining state support, tuition, and educational quality. The agenda and reference documents from Wednesday's meeting can be found on the Task Force website. The next Task Force meeting is scheduled for March 7, 2012.
