Strategic Job Creation Committee:
On Wednesday, August 25, the Special Committee on Strategic Job Creation held a hearing at the State Capitol. Testifying on behalf of the UW System was Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs Rebecca Martin and UW- Milwaukee Chancellor Carlos Santiago. The PowerPoint they presented is available here.

Wisconsin Economic Summit Series:
The second of the three-part Wisconsin Economic Summit Series was held in La Crosse on Thursday, August 26. "Managing the State Deficit" was dedicated to developing options that address the major changes and opportunities facing Wisconsin's new Governor and Legislature as they begin their deliberations on the 2011-2013 State Budget. UW System was represented by UW-La Crosse Chancellor Joe Gow on an education panel.
