Bills on Board Composition Entering Final Legislative Stages
The Assembly Colleges and Universities Committee will hold an executive session next Thursday, September 29th on AB39 and SB28, the bills that would adopt geographical representation of the Board of Regents.
If the bills pass committee next week, as expected, they will move to the full Assembly, and then to the Governor for review (the senate bill has already passed the senate).
Other bills to be voted that day include:
Assembly Bill 142 Relating to: enrollment requirements for recipients of talent incentive grants, by the Joint Legislative Council; and,
Assembly Bill 144Relating to: creating a commission on financial aid consolidation and modernization.
