Governor Announces Non-Traditional Student Regent Appointment

Governor Walker announced he has appointed Nicolas Harsy, a UW-Madison student and veteran, as the next non-traditional student regent. Harsy succeeds Regent Tracy Hribar, whose term expires May 1. The Senate Universities and Technical Colleges Committee has added Mr. Harsy's appointment to tomorrow's hearing agenda. Please see the revised hearing notice here.

 

Two More Legislators Announce Plans to Step Down

Representative Bill Kramer (R-Waukesha) announced he would not run for re-election in 2014. Kramer, a former Assembly Majority Leader, was first elected in 2006. Representative Mike Endsley (R-Sheboygan) also announced he would not be seeking re-election in the fall. Endsley was first elected in 2010.  They join 11 other incumbents who will not be running for re-election in the Assembly. Six are running for a different office.
