November Elections

Wisconsin's 2010 General Election will be held Tuesday, November 2.

 

The offices up for election this year include Governor and Lieutenant Governor, who run on a shared ticket. Governor Jim Doyle and Lieutenant Governor Barbara Lawton are not running for re-election this year. The major party candidates for Governor are Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett (D) and Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker (R). Their respective running-mates for Lieutenant Governor are State Representative Tom Nelson and Rebecca Kleefisch.

 

Other offices up for election this year include Attorney General, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, all 99 State Assembly seats, and the odd-numbered State Senate seats. Additionally, the federal positions up for election are one U.S Senate Seat and all eight House of Representatives, including the 7th Congressional District, which has been vacated by retiring Congressman David Obey (D-Wausau).
