New Leadership Posts Announced:

The Republican and Democratic Assembly Caucuses met earlier this week at the State Capitol to elect their new leadership for the 2011-2012 session. The Senate caucuses met on Friday November 5, their leadership appointments can be found on this previous update.

Assembly Republicans elected to majority leadership posts:

Speaker: Jeff Fitzgerald
Speaker Pro-tempore: Bill Kramer
Majority Leader: Scott Suder
Assistant Majority Leader: Dan Knodl
Caucus Chair: Scott Gunderson
Caucus Vice-Chair: John Murtha
Caucus Secretary: Mary Williams

Assembly Democrats elected to minority leadership posts:

Minority Leader: Peter Barca
Assistant Minority Leader: Donna Seidel
Caucus Chair: Kelda Helen-Roys
Caucus Vice-Chair: Fred Clark

Joint Finance Committee (JFC) Updates:

Assembly Majority Speaker-Elect Jeff Fitzgerald also announced his appointment of Rep. Robin Vos to serve as Assembly Co-Chair of the Joint Finance Committee. Last week, Senate Majority Leader-Elect Scott Fitzgerald appointed Senator Alberta Darling as the Senate Co-Chair.

Senator Fitzgerald also appointed five additional Republicans to the JFC, Senators Luther Olson (Vice-Chair), Sheila Harsdorf, Joe Liebham, Glenn Grothman and Randy Hopper. Senate Democrats have yet to announce their appointments to the committee.
