Budget adjustment legislation update

The Joint Finance Committee heard public testimony until 3:00 a.m. this morning, 17 hours after the hearing commenced. Committee democrats continued a listening session and were still taking testimony as of 8:15 a.m. The Committee is expected to reconvene in executive session about noon today to take action on the deficit reduction bill. 

Media reports estimated that 13,000 people showed up for protests at the Capitol on Tuesday, and more are expected today.
