State Senate Elects New Leaders

The Senate met today and elected Senator Fred Risser as President and Senator Tim Carpenter as President Pro Tempore.  The Chamber also welcomed its two newest members, Senator Jerry Petrowski (R-Wausau) and Senator John Lehman (D-Racine).

Senate Majority Leader Mark Miller Announces New Committee Chairs
Senator Miller announced new committee chairs and vice chairs for both standing and joint committees. Senator Kathleen Vinehout has been appointed chair of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Elections, and the UW System. See complete list of assignments here.
