Special Election called for 33rd Senate District
Governor Walker has called for a Dec. 4 special election to fill the vacant 33rd Senate seat. Rich Zipperer, who was elected to the seat in 2010, resigned from the Senate in August after being appointed to serve as Governor Walker's Deputy Chief of Staff. The primary is scheduled to coincide with the Nov. 6 general election. Republican State Representatives Paul Farrow (R-Pewaukee) and Chris Kapenga (R-Delafield) have both announced their interest in running for the seat.
