Sen. Robson Announces Retirement
Yesterday, Sen. Judy Robson announced that she will not seek re-election this year. She was first elected to the Assembly in 1987, and in 1998 was elected to the Senate. For more information, see Sen. Robson's press release .
Hearings on SB 407/AB 604 and SB 431/AB 624
The Senate and Assembly higher education committees will be holding hearings on two pieces of legislation supported by UW System. SB 407 and AB 604 are companion bills that would increase eligibility for the Academic Excellence Higher Education Scholarship Program. SB 431 and AB 624 would restrict the use of the terms college, university, state, and Wisconsin in the name of a school. The hearing information is listed below:
