UW System Bill Positions
UW System has posted the following bill positions approved by the Board of Regents:
AB 624 / SB 431: Diploma Mills. This bill restricts the use of the terms college, university, state, and Wisconsin in the name of a school. It also prohibits the issuing, manufacture, or use of a false academic credential; and the false use of a legitimate academic credential. UW System Position: SUPPORT.
AB 604 / SB 407: Academic Excellence Higher Education Scholarships. This bill expands the number of persons eligible to compete for the Academic Excellence Higher Education Scholarship program. UW System Position: SUPPORT.
