Additional Legislative Retirements

Several state legislators have recently announced their intention to retire.

• Rep. Don Friske (R-Merrill)
• Rep. Tom Lothian (R-Williams Bay)
• Rep. John Townsend (R-Fond du Lac)
• Rep. Jeff Wood (I-Chippewa Falls)
• Sen. Ted Kanavas (R-Brookfield)

The following legislators are not seeking re-election in order to pursue other public office:

• Rep. Brett Davis (R-Oregon) – Running for Lieutenant Governor
• Rep. Mark Gundrum (R-New Berlin) – Running for the Waukesha County Circuit Court
• Rep. Roger Roth (R-Appleton) – Running for U.S. House of Representatives (WI 8th Congressional District)
• Rep. Gary Sherman (D-Port Wing) – Appointed by Gov. Jim Doyle to the Court of Appeals for the 4th District
• Rep. Leah Vukmir (R-Wauwatosa) – Running for State Senate (5th District)
• Rep. Rich Zipperer (R-Pewaukee) – Running for State Senate (33rd District)
