Governor Calls for Special Election to Fill Another Assembly Vacancy
Rep. Mark Honadel (R-South Milwaukee) has officially announced his retirement from the Assembly, effective Sept. 16. Honadel had represented the 21st Assembly District since 2003. Governor Walker has ordered a special election to be held on Nov. 19 to fill that open seat. A primary election, if needed, would be held on Oct. 22. See the Governor's Executive Order. A previously announced special election for the 69th Assembly District is also scheduled on those dates.
Student Regent Chad Landes Confirmed by State Senate
The State Senate confirmed yesterday the appointment of Chad Landes to the UW System Board of Regents on a 33-0 vote.
