Governor to Call for Special Legislative Session

Governor Walker indicated he plans to call a special legislative session in December to make changes related to Wisconsin's BadgerCare and HIRSP programs. The Assembly is tentatively scheduled to meet on Dec 4. The Senate has not yet announced a meeting date at this time.

Assembly Special Elections Results
Here are the winners from Tuesday's State Assembly special elections:  

  • Jessie Rodriguez (R-Franklin) won Tuesdays special election to represent the 21st Assembly District previously held by Mark Honadel.
  • Bob Kulp (R-Stratford) won Tuesday's special election to represent the 69th Assembly District formerly held by Scott Suder.
  •  Ken Skowronski (R-Franklin) won Tuesday's primary election for the 82nd Assembly District and advances to the Dec. 17 general election to face John Hermes (D-Greendale)
