Assembly Special Elections

Assembly District 21- Jessie Rodriguez (R-Franklin) won Tuesday's special election primary and advances to the Nov. 19 general election to face Elizabeth Coppola (D-South Milwaukee).

 

Assembly District 69 - Bob Kulp (R-Stratford) won Tuesday's special election primary and advances to the Nov. 19 general election to face Kenneth Slezak (D-Neillsville).

 

Assembly District 82 - A special primary election to fill the vacancy created by the departure of former State Representative Jeff Stone (R-Greendale), will be held on Nov. 19, with the general election set to take place Dec. 17.  A Government Accountability Board (GAB) list of candidate registrations for this special primary election can be found here.

Veterans Priority Registration Bill
AB 201
providing certain veterans priority in registering for courses at UW and WTCS campuses was passed by the Senate last week. The bill, which was approved by the Assembly in June, now goes to Governor Walker for his review and signature.


State Attorney General Van Hollen Will Not Seek Third Term.
Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen recently announced he would not run for re-election in 2014.  Van Hollen was first elected in 2006 and re-elected in 2010. For more information, please see Attorney General Van Hollen's statement.
