Joint Informational Hearing by Higher Education Committees to be Held November 8

A joint informational hearing has been scheduled by the Assembly Colleges and Universities Committee and the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Forestry, and Higher Education for November 8. The focus of the hearing will be a presentation on aligning education, workforce, and economic development policy by the Education Commission of the States (ECS).  UW System President Kevin Reilly has also been invited to provide remarks to the committee.  For further information please see attached hearing notice here. 

Assembly Higher Education Committee to Hear Differential Tuition Proposal on November 8
Upon the conclusion of the Joint Informational hearing, the Assembly Colleges and Universities Committee will convene a  public hearing on AB 241 relating to differential tuition. The Senate Higher Education Committee approved similar legislation on a 7-0 vote. The Committee may also vote on SB 184  relating to the reporting date for the Special Task Force on UW Restructuring and Operational Flexibilities.
