Senate Higher Education Committee to Hold Informational Hearing on the UW
The Senate Agriculture, Forestry, and Higher Education Committee has scheduled an informational hearing next Tuesday, November 15 relating to "UW System and the Wisconsin Idea". Committee Chair Senator Dale Schultz is inviting higher education leaders from across the UW to discuss the challenges facing the UW as it enters 2012 and how best to move the Wisconsin Idea forward. Assembly Insurance Committee to Hear Rehired Annuitant Proposals
The Assembly Insurance Committee will hold a public hearing on Thursday, November 17 on AB 318 introduced by Rep. Duey Stroebel and AB 352, introduced by Rep. Bob Ziegelbauer. Both bills relate to the post-retirement employment of annuitants under the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). The committee meeting notice can be found here.
